Richard Briscoe, DDS
I see my dental profession as a lifelong commitment to the service of my community. I want to create trusting relationships with my patients, so they know I will always provide them with the highest quality services and a gentle touch. The highest compliment I receive from my patients is when they refer their friends to us, or bring their children in for a checkup. I have enjoyed getting to know my patients over the years, and have been honored to serve generations of local families.
Education and Continuing Education
Prior to practicing dentistry, I received my Bachelor of Arts from Kansas University in 1974 and my Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 1978. Because dentistry is always changing and evolving, I am committed to studying the newest technologies and methods. I want to make sure my patients are always given the most efficient and comfortable treatments available, and my continuing dental education helps ensure quality care. Each year, I participate in a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education, including all aspects of dentistry.
In the Practice
In my work, I enjoy helping our patients with whatever they need. From relieving pain to creating a beautiful new smile, my job helps each patient live a healthier, happier life. I cannot ask for more than that! My highest goal in my practice is to serve my patients, and to create a positive and relaxing dental experience for them.
After more than 33 years in dental practice, I have been honored to meet and become friends with many wonderful people in our community. I enjoy building relationships with the patients and helping to improve their self-esteem through beautiful smiles. It has been fun to treat children and watch them grow. Some have even come back and bring their own children to our practice!
My team is a wonderful and diverse group of people who truly care about their community. They all have the common goal of making our patients comfortable, and our turnover is extremely low. That’s because my team loves our patients, and is committed to your health and happiness!
Family and Community
I am originally from Winfield, Kansas, grew up in Lyons, and have lived in Hutchinson for more than 32 years. My wife, Jayne, and I have three grown sons and five grandchildren. In my spare time, I enjoy golf, biking, working in the yard, and spending time with family.
I love living in Hutchinson, raising our family here, and being part of a caring community. I coached basketball for 10 years and coached other sports while my sons were in school. I participated in the 2011 Hutchinson "KMOM" (Kansas Mission of Mercy) program where dentistry was provided to those in need. My wife and I have donated to the Outreach program at UMKC for over 15 years and we went on a dental mission trip in 2005 to Venezuela. My son and I have now started a dental scholarship at UMKC for future Kansas dentists. We are also supporters of the KAJ foundation which gives financial support to the NIC unit where our granddaughter spend the first 2 months of her life. There are many important organizations and charities in our community that we support annually.
